The Texas Real Estate Teachers Association (TRETA) held their 36th annual conference in Fort Worth, TX on April 26-28.

This year's theme was "I am TRETA."

Guest speakers included Dr. Jim Gaines Texas (A&M Real Estate Center), Ms. Gwen Jackson, (Director of Education & Licensing Services Texas Real Commission) Mr. Doug Foster (Commissioner Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage), Mr. Mark Lehman (Vice president - Governmental Affairs TAR), Mr. Jerry Rutledge, Mr. Philip Schoewe, Mr. Chuck Jacobus, and Ms. Jennifer Jennings.

"The best part of attending a TRETA Conference is the associations that you will develop with fellow members.  TRETA has the best teachers, authors, and regulators the real estate industry has to offer," said outgoing president Dan Hamiton.

Over eighty real estate educators, regulators, authors, and speakers attended the 2012 TRETA conference in Ft. Worth.

Dr. Jim Gains makes the point that home prices in the state of Texas have fared much better than the rest of the country.
