Course Descriptions & Purchase:
MCE Credit
The participant must decide if the course is timely and appropriate for their MCE requirements. MCE Providers of North Texas will not certify a participant for MCE credit unless the student attends all sessions of the course. No partial credit will be given for partial attendance; and no makeup or written work will be allowed for MCE credit.
Payment is due at time of enrollment. The enrollment cost must be paid in full one day prior to scheduled class date. The cost of each real estate course includes tuition and required textbooks.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Full refunds will be granted if student cancels (2) days before scheduled classes. Otherwise a 20% materials fee will be deducted. In case of insufficient enrollment, inclement weather, or instructor cancellation, a full refund will be issued or credit applied for future classes. Students must attend entire class to receive full credit. MCE Providers of North Texas does not participate in partial credit.

Buyer Representation in Real Estate, 3rd Ed: $20.00 [top]
Buyer representation, also known as buyer agency, is one of the industry's most significant trends and has transformed the way real estate professionals think about and conduct their day-to-day business. The goal of this course is to explain the concept of buyer representation, to identify the components of a buyer agency relationship, and to show how agents can incorporate buyer agency in their real estate practice in a legal and ethical manner.

In today’s market, Real Estate agents are conducting business with Buyers or Sellers in transactions that involve either a Foreclosure or Short Sale. This course will also familiarize the student with closing settlement procedures and documents used during the closing process. The HUD-1 will be analyzed, assisting the student to better understand closing cost, pro-rations, and the procedure for determining the final figures for both buyers and sellers at the closing table.

This 2 hour course will familiarize the real estate professional with all the major changes to the HUD-1 settlement statement and Good Faith Estimate. Topics that are covered in this class include: Reasons for change in New HUD-1 and GFE, lender expectations and level of service, acceptable turnaround times (with respect to closing) Close coordination between clients, real estate professionals, lenders, and settlement service providers will be imperative as these new forms and procedures are implemented.

This 4 hour course will familiarize the student with closing and settlement procedures. The information is relevant, as real estate licensees must explain the procedures to their clients on a daily basis and help them through a successful closing. The course will include a review of procedures during the closing process. Several closing documents will be reviewed. Contract issues will be covered including TREC rules, multiple offers, effective dates, etc. The licensee will learn how to fill in the blanks of the forms properly in addition to understanding the pre-printed part of the forms.
Mortgage Fraud & Predatory Lending: What Every Agent Should Know: $20.00 [top]
Mortgage fraud occurs when an individual involved in a real estate transaction falsifies documents submitted to a lender or intentionally omits material information for the purpose of obtaining a mortgage loan. Real estate professionals in Texas operate under legal requirements to alert authorities when they witness mortgage fraud.

This course counts for 3 hours of ethics credit for Texas Real Estate License MCE renewal. Upon completion of this Texas real estate MCE course, the student will be able to recognize and apply the Canons of Ethics, name the five canons, explain the complexity of agency relationships, illustrate what constitutes proper identification in advertising, apply fair housing laws and demonstrate knowledge of how to respond to the presentation of multiple offers.
